Postdoctoral scientist

IRI (CSIC-UPC)

the academic path I am following

I studied electronics and automation engineering at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (Bachelor), artificial intelligence at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Universitat de Barcelona and Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Master), and robotics and artificial intelligence at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (PhD).

During my doctoral degree, I was supervised by Guillem Alenyà and Sergi Foix, and I visited Stefano Borgo at the Laboratory for Applied Ontology in 2022, and Gerard Canal at King’s College London in 2023.

As a scientist, I focus on the intersection of applied ontology and explainable agency, with a especial attention to human-robot interactive scenarios. As a professor, I have taught Mobile Robotics within the Mechatronics Bachelor at Universitat de Vic from 2021 to 2023, and I am currently teaching Robotics within the Informatics Bachelor at Universitat Carlemany from 2024.

From 2017 I am the secretary of the IEEE-SA 1872.2-2021 Standard for Autonomous Robotics Ontology, and from 2023 the vice-chair of the IEEE-SA P1872.3 Standard for Ontology Reasoning on Multiple Robots. In general, I like to work with people with different backgrounds because I am attracted to interdisciplinary topics.
